Background
Zimasa Ngondeka was born on the 10th of August , 1982 to Tika Washington Ngondeka and Thenjiwe Nqayi . Her father, Tika Ngondeka, was a factory technician at Bernette’s industries in East London. Both parents raised Zimasa until they separated when Zimasa was ten years old.
Zimasa Ngondeka attended Alphendale High School in East London and proceeded to Cape Peninsula University. She is currently pursuing studies in Marketing and Digital Studies and is set to take the Digital marketing world by storm!
Zimasa Ngondeka is a Management Accountant with more than 17 years of experience in the FMCG Industry. She has worked in prestigious companies like I & J, Speedo Swimwear, Pepsico(Simba), Phillip Morris International, Revlon, and Tracker Security services.
Entrepreneurial Journey
Born to Win clothing manufacturing is a company spread across four main verticals – the corporate and manufacturing industry, school uniforms and related accessories, branding embroidery and printing, and the Rise lifestyle store, which caters to trendy fashion and other lines of premium brands.
She got the inspiration to be an entrepreneur through her exposure to her mother’s drive to sell and make ends meet at home. Her interests and skills were further honed through participating in compiling manufacturing budgets and her involvement in the end-to-end production process of converting raw materials to finished goods.
Further deep diving into such activities raised Zimasa’s intrigue and bore a seed that would germinate to bear entrepreneurial fruit. Although the seed had already been planted, her real motivation for choosing to manufacture was stirred by her experiences at the various manufacturing plants.
